New Band! The Travelers!

Last summer I joined forces with two of my favorite humans who happen to be incredibly talented musicians as well. We formed a trio called The Travelers. On lead and harmony vocals as well as acoustic guitar and mandolin, Leanna Shannon shines not only as a musician but as a genuine and engaging personality on stage. On steel guitars, electric guitar and resonator guitar as well as lead vocals, Mike Perry Bills glues together so many of the songs with his versatility and tasteful playing. Mike is also one of those people that everyone just loves to be around. Our sets include many country classics including 90’s country and even some rock ’n roll! I can honestly say I’ve never seen such a versatile trio! We can cover anything from Bluegrass to The Eagles and with countless instrumental and vocal combinations. However, in most scenarios… all roads point back to the classic country which holds a special place in all of our hearts.

It has been a long time coming for me to have a band. This is a first for me in this roll as a lead singer, banjo player and singer-songwriter. I am grateful for the time I’ve spent in bands behind the drum-kit and behind performers such as Kevin Jones, Curtis Moore & The Stone Blind Horses and countless others. These hero’s of mine have taught me so much and I only want to keep learning on this journey that satisfies my soul and hopefully spills out to do the same for you, the listener.
